I'm Jeanette Houmayune

Counsellor, Family Therapist & Educator

I work with couples and families as well as adults, teens and young children facing acute stress and mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, addictions, obsessive-compulsive and post-traumatic stress.

I see myself as a facilitator, guiding my clients through the process of goal-setting and committing to sustainable positive changes, one step at a time. I seek to empower them in a solution-focused journey with systemic family therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy and hypnotherapy, amongst other therapeutic approaches.

Prior to this, I was an award-winning Senior Lecturer in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Business and Accountancy for more than 10 years and managed a training department at the National Council of Social Service. I began my career as an auditor with a Big 4 international accounting firm and was a Chartered Accountant for over 20 years.

I enjoy cycling and exploring trails with my husband and two teenage sons. I also volunteer as a counsellor with HealthServe Singapore and Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME) to support the mental health of migrant workers.
